The pedestals are made from high-quality Corten-A steel plate. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron, with added copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel, and chromium. Corten steel is known for its weather-resistant properties. Characteristic of corten steel is its brown/orange rust color on one side and its durability on the other. Its long lifespan is due to the initial corrosion layer that prevents further rust damage, resulting in minimal maintenance. The longer the pedestal stands, the more beautiful it becomes. Over time, the steel develops a lovely, natural patina. The corten steel pedestal is delivered unoxidized, meaning in a gray metal color. The rusting process begins within the first 2 months, and no treatment is required for this. The corten steel pedestal is produced in-house by our skilled craftsmen. Please note; during the rusting process, the pedestal may leave marks.
